Vampire Weekend is an American indie pop band from New York, formed in 2006. Vampire Weekend's name is derived from lead singer Ezra Koenig's amateur film of the same name. In 2007, Vampire Weekend's song "Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa" was ranked 67th on Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Best Songs of the year. The album's first single "Cousins", was released on November 17, 2009.

Eduard Marian Ilie (29 June 1986, Bucharest), also known as Edward Maya, is a producer, performer, composer and musician from Romania. He graduated from George Enescu Music High School in Bucharest and is currently a final year student at the Bucharest Conservatory. At 19 years of age he composed a song with Eduard Carcota for the Eurovision Song Contest, which went to fourth place in the competition (Mihai Traistariu - Tornero). In the summer of 2009, Maya launched is first song as an artist, "Stereo Love", topping number 1 in the Romanian singles charts. Latter that year, "Stereo Love", became a hit in clubbing places all over the world. "This Is My Life" is the second single.
